As common with other tropical islands off Malaysia's east coast, Redang offers a whole range of beach and sea activities ideal for family and friends. Snorkelling is the most popular activity, gazing at the island's rich troves of corals and colourful fish under the crystal clear waters off the beach and neighbouring islands. Most hotels will arrange for such trips with the aid of boats to destinations such as the Marine Park (where visitors can also visit a turtle hatchery). The central beach is located along Pasir Panjang east of the island, which houses almost all the resorts of Redang. Neighbouring it across the cape at east is Pantai Kalong while Teluk Dalam lies north of the island.
